One fall afternoon in 1997, up on Racine in Chicago, Drew was sitting on Brad’s and Andrew’s back porch with a few bottles of smuggled Fat Tire and a guitar. He had just listened to Wire's Pink Flag, and started messing around on the guitar. This song fairly quickly resulted, with some hastily-written lyrics scribbled on an old bill or something as the band had practice an hour later (thanks Jay for the "2 B Real" lyric snippet!). It's two chords, throughout, with only picking/strum patterns separating the components. A year later while we were tracking it, Todd had the idea for the descending harmonics while Drew was laying down the electric guitars.

In retrospect, Drew's songs probably would have better fit another band more into the noise rock thing.
